Chance Encounter Productions is a documentary film production company based in Buffalo, New York. Founded in 2004 by filmmakers Scott Murchie and Brett Williams, the directing team has collaborated on various projects before deciding to focus on social issues in and around the Western New York area.

In 2008, Brett and Scott collaborated with Squeaky Wheel, the Community Foundation for Greater Buffalo and Journey's End Refugee Services to create a short documentary film, Refugees: Buffalo's New Generation. The film shows the importance of the Refugee Student Impact Program (RSIP) and illuminates the issues that refugee students face and how the RSIP team works closely with the families and schools to help bridge the existing cultural and linguistic gap.

In 2009, the directing team is in production on a feature length documentary exploring refugee life in Buffalo, New York.
